Finding Environmental Jobs On the Net

Toll Free Environmental Directory

Looking for an environmental job but have no idea where to turn first? Why not try using the Net to do it? It just got easier thanks to Paul J. Krupin, an environmental attorney with 22 years of federal government and industry experience.

Paul has put together a Web site that has over 4,500 toll-free telephone listings covering most of the environmental industry. Now you can call, toll-free, to environmental professionals in businesses, professional and nonprofit organizations, and government agencies throughout the nation.

More than 130 categories can be searched: air pollution, biomediation, endangered species, even companies dealing with wool. You simply select the company (itÕs an alphabetical listing), hit the search button, and you get a list of companies with city and state information and toll-free phone numbers. CouldnÕt be easier!

Not sure how to go about finding a job? Paul has written a 20+ page report titled Finding Environmental Jobs! How To Use Direct Contact Networking To Uncover The Hidden Jobs And Business Development Opportunities You Want -- By Phone -- Nation-Wide -- Toll-Free! Private. ItÕs filled with tips and advice on how to do it the right way. You can download the report from the Environmental Forum Library #2 (keyword: Environment) on America Online or order his book, KrupinÕs Toll-Free Environmental Directory, directly from Paul for $14.95 (plus $3.00 S&H). Send check to Direct Contact, P. O. Box 6726, Kennewick, WA 99336, or call 1-800-457-8746 (MC/VISA/AMEX accepted).

Paul says they will be putting up an environmental job listing in the near future. He has also developed a way to send individually addressed, laser-printed, first-class mail to Congress, state legislators, government agency heads, and the like for 10 cents a letter. ItÕs a new way for constituents to let their elected and appointed representatives know what they think, he says, and hopes to have it in operation soon.

Direct Contact, PaulÕs company, will also build links directly to the companies in the database, and offer those who list the option of adding what he hopes will be benefit-laden, customer-centered, problem-solving information to their listing.

Paul has self-published three books and seven databases, and is working on several more, all focused on helping people get jobs and contracts by getting in direct contact with one another. HeÕs schooled in the "all you need to know" teachings of Dr. Jeffrey Lant (Cash Copy, The Unabashed Self Promoter's Guide, No More Cold Calls, Money Making Marketing, The Consultant's Kit, Tricks of the Trade), Bob Bly (Power Packed Direct Mail, Selling Your Services, Targeted Public Relations), and John Kremer (1001 Ways to Market Your Books, Book Marketing Made Easier, The Complete Direct Marketing Sourcebook, and his Publicity Power Database set) just in case anyone wants to retrace the steps and give self-publishing a try, he says. He highly recommends their books.

Paul also points out that Yana Parker, author of the Damn Good Resume, Resume Pro (Ten Speed Press), publishes a monthly newsletter, "The Resume Professional." The Fall 1995 issue has his article, "The Direct Contact Method to Uncover Hidden Jobs and Business Opportunities--by Phone." Paul already has uploaded it to the AOL Environmental Software Library #2 for folks to get free access to it.
