The White House Delivers!

Are you frustrated over the fact that all major TV news networks hardly cover
the White House's environmental policies? Or, when they do, it often is no
more than 30 second sound bites? Would you like the White House to deliver
their environmental news right to your own mailbox!

The Clinton administration has an electronic distribution center where anyone
can receive briefings, speeches, position papers, addresses, appointments,
and complete texts of policies delivered right to their electronic mailbox.
 You never again have to miss a White House environmental decision.

With an Internet address you can subscribe to several White House mailing
lists:

Subject: Help

The mailserver reads the subject line of your message and acts on it. If you
want to receive press releases automatically, then your subject line would
begin with the word RECEIVE.  You can specify the kind of information you
want to receive:

ECONOMIC POLICY
Get releases related to the economy such as budget news, technology policy
review, etc.

FOREIGN POLICY
Get releases related to foreign policy such as statements on Bosnia, Haiti,
Israel, etc.

SOCIAL POLICY
Get releases related to social issues like National Service (Student Loan)
program, abortion, welfare reform, etc.

SPEECHES
All speeches made by the President and important speeches made by other
Administration officials.

NEWS
Transcripts of press conferences released by the White House Communications
office, as well as the President's remarks in photo ops and other Q&A
sessions.

ALL             All of the above

So, if you wanted to sign up to get all White House releases  your email
message would look like this:

To: Clinton-Info@Campaign92.Org
Subject: RECEIVE ALL

Since environment falls within all topics you should sign up for ALL.

Finally, suppose you want to give your comments directly to the President or
Vice-President.  Send a private email to: President@WhiteHouse.GOV or
Vice-President@WhiteHouse.GOV. Staff reads your mail and forwards it to the
proper authority.  You will get an automatically generated return letter
telling you it was received, but don't expect a personal reply.  They are
getting thousands of email each day.
