Trexar announces the availability of MacTuner™ 2.1, a significant advance over the previous 2.0 release. MacTuner is the only Macintosh multimedia program that lets you enjoy more than 1800 world-wide live and recorded Internet radio, scanner and TV stations on your Macintosh. Using the Internet and your computer's built-in sound, you can watch and listen to music, news, talk, sports and information programming world-wide.

MacTuner 2.1 introduces all-new, high-definition, professionally rendered maps, complete with zoom capability for each continent. Also new is a table-driven preset editor that supports unlimited channel presets and favorites. The search engine is now resizable, runs in it’s own window, and supports case-insensitive searches. The station database now contains over 1800 LIVE stations. The user interface has been completely updated to include a modularized GUI, individual continent windows, resizable search engine and favorites, field tabbing support, window position saving and more.

Release 2.1 supports 68040 and later Macs (including PPC/G3) and requires 16MB of memory at runtime, less than 5MB of disk space, an Internet connection with an ordinary 28.8 modem and the RealAudio player. MacTuner now supports all popular screen sizes and resolutions. Performance is excellent, and 68K, FAT, and PPC versions are available.
