Using a built-in parsing engine, MacHeadlines Lite scans the HTML pages of news, sports, and entertainment sites, extracts the headlines, and delivers them to your desktop via a scrolling ticker. When a topic piques your interest, click the headline to launch your Web browser and go to the full story on the host site. You also can use the Find menu to locate a particular headline. MacHeadlines Lite supports 68020 and later Macs (including PPC/G3); and requires less than 2MB of memory at runtime, less than 2MB of disk space, and an Internet connection with an ordinary 28.8 modem. MacHeadlines Lite supports all popular screen sizes and resolutions and uses very little network bandwidth (and only when headlines are retrieved, not during normal scrolling).
